Description

These Apple Pie Enchiladas are a delicious dessert mash-up featuring warm spiced apples wrapped in flour tortillas and baked to golden perfection. A quick and easy apple dessert that tastes just like homemade pie—with a fun twist!

Ingredients

  • 4 large flour tortillas

  • 3 cups apples, peeled, cored, and sliced (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar

  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg (optional)

  • 2 tablespoons butter

  • Optional: caramel sauce or whipped cream for serving

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

  • In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter. Add sliced apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg (if using).

  • Cook for 5–7 minutes until apples are tender and mixture is syrupy. Remove from heat.

  • Spoon the apple mixture evenly down the center of each tortilla, roll up tightly, and place seam-side down in a greased baking dish.

  • Brush tops lightly with melted butter or any remaining syrup from the pan.

  • Bake uncovered for 20–25 minutes or until tortillas are slightly crisp and golden.

  • Serve warm with a drizzle of caramel sauce or a dollop of whipped cream.

Notes

Add chopped nuts like pecans or walnuts for crunch.

Can be made ahead and reheated for a quick dessert.

Try adding a splash of vanilla or a pinch of salt to enhance the flavors.
