Ingredients

Brownies:

  • 1 box brownie mix (plus ingredients required on the box) or homemade brownies, baked and cooled

  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips (optional)

Cookie Dough:

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar

  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips

  • 1/2 cup dried cherries or maraschino cherries, chopped and patted dry

For Coating:

 

  • 1 cup semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips (for melting)


Instructions

  • Prepare the Brownies:
    Bake brownies as directed. Let cool completely.
    Crumble into small pieces and mix in 1/4 cup chocolate chips if using.

  • Make the Cookie Dough:
    Beat butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
    Mix in vanilla, then flour and salt until combined.
    Fold in mini chocolate chips and chopped cherries.

  • Assemble the Brownie Bombs:
    Combine brownie crumbles and cookie dough in a bowl until evenly mixed.

  • Form Balls:
    Roll mixture into bite-sized balls.
    Place on lined baking sheet and freeze for 30 minutes.

  • Melt Chocolate and Coat:
    Microwave chocolate chips in 30-second intervals until smooth.
    Dip each brownie bomb into the chocolate and return to baking sheet to set.
