Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups grated cabbage

  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion

  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour

  • 2 eggs

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder (optional)

  • 2 tbsp chopped parsley (optional)

  • Oil for frying


Instructions

  • In a large bowl, combine grated cabbage, chopped onion, flour, eggs, salt, pepper, and optional garlic powder and parsley. Mix until well blended into a thick batter.

  • Heat a thin layer of oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat.

  • Drop spoonfuls of the mixture into the skillet and flatten gently into patties.

  • Fry for 3–4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and crisp.

  • Remove and drain on paper towels.

  • Serve warm, optionally with sour cream, yogurt dip, or a spicy sauce.

Notes

  • Squeeze out excess moisture from the cabbage if it’s too watery.

  • Add grated carrots or zucchini for variety.
