Ingredients

For the beef filling:

  • 1 lb lean ground beef

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)

For assembly:

  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar or American cheese

  • 4 large flour tortillas

  • 1/4 cup ketchup or burger sauce

  • 1/4 cup mustard (optional)

  • 1/2 cup diced pickles or sliced pickles (optional)

  • 1/2 cup diced onions (optional)

  • Butter or oil for cooking


Instructions

  • Cook the beef filling: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef with salt, pepper, and garlic powder until browned and fully cooked. Drain excess fat.

  • Assemble quesadillas: Spread ketchup or burger sauce on half of each tortilla. Layer with cooked beef, shredded cheese, pickles, and onions if using. Fold over to form a half-moon.

  • Cook quesadillas: Heat a skillet over medium heat and lightly grease with butter or oil. Cook each quesadilla for 2–3 minutes per side or until golden brown and the cheese has melted.

  • Serve: Slice into wedges and serve hot with extra sauce for dipping.
