Description

This Cheesesteak on Garlic Parmesan Bread is the ultimate sandwich upgrade—tender, juicy steak loaded with melty cheese and served on crispy, garlicky Parmesan-crusted bread. It’s everything you love about a Philly cheesesteak, elevated with bold garlic butter flavor and artisan-style crunch. Perfect for lunch, dinner, or game day feasting!

Ingredients

For the Garlic Parmesan Bread:

  • 1 loaf artisan bread (sourdough, ciabatta, or French bread)

  • 3 tablespoons butter, softened

  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese

  • 2 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1 teaspoon chopped parsley (optional)

For the Cheesesteak Filling:

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or butter

  • 1 lb (450g) thinly sliced ribeye steak or ground beef

  • 1 medium onion, thinly sliced

  • 1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced (optional)

  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

  • 6-8 slices provolone or mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Make the Garlic Bread:
Mix softened butter, garlic, Parmesan, and parsley. Slice bread in half lengthwise and spread the garlic butter mixture evenly on each half.
Toast under a broiler for 2–4 minutes until golden and crisp—watch closely to avoid burning.

  2. Prepare the Cheesesteak Filling:
Heat olive oil or butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sauté onions (and peppers if using) until soft and caramelized.
Add steak and cook until browned, seasoning with salt and pepper to taste.

  3. Assemble the Sandwich:
Lay cheese slices over the hot steak mixture in the pan and let melt slightly. Spoon the cheesy steak mix onto the toasted garlic bread.

  4. Serve:
Slice and serve hot, optionally with a side of chips or dipping sauce like garlic aioli or marinara.

Notes

  • Swap ribeye for chicken or mushrooms for a different twist.

  • Add hot peppers or jalapeños for heat.

  • Great for sliders or party subs—just use mini rolls or baguette slices!
