Description

These Cheesy Beefy Burritos are the ultimate comfort food—seasoned ground beef, onions, and gooey melted cheese all wrapped in soft tortillas for a satisfying, quick dinner or freezer-friendly meal prep option.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef

  • 1/2 cup chopped onion

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 packet taco seasoning (1 oz)

  • 1/2 cup water

  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar or Mexican blend cheese

  • 6-8 large flour tortillas

  • Optional: sour cream, salsa, shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, jalapeños

Instructions

  • In a large skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef and onion until beef is browned and onion is tender. Drain excess grease.

  • Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute.

  • Stir in taco seasoning and water. Simmer for 5 minutes until thickened.

  • Warm tortillas slightly to make them pliable.

  • Spoon beef mixture into the center of each tortilla, top with cheese and optional extras.

  • Fold in sides and roll up burritos.

  • (Optional) Place seam-side down in a hot skillet or panini press and cook for 1–2 minutes per side to crisp up.

Notes
