Description

This Chocolate Peanut Butter Ooey Gooey Butter Cake is a decadent, melt-in-your-mouth dessert! Made with rich chocolate cake, creamy peanut butter, and a luscious gooey topping, it’s the ultimate treat for chocolate and peanut butter lovers.

Ingredients

For the Cake Base:

  • 1 box chocolate cake mix

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

  • 2 large eggs

For the Peanut Butter Filling:

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened

  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter

  • 2 large eggs

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 4 cups powdered sugar

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

  • In a large bowl, mix together the cake mix, melted butter, and 2 eggs until a thick dough forms.

  • Press the dough evenly into the bottom of the prepared baking dish.

  • In another bowl, beat the cream cheese and peanut butter until smooth and creamy.

  • Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing well.

  • Gradually add the powdered sugar, beating until fully combined and fluffy.

  • Spread the peanut butter mixture evenly over the cake base.

  • Bake for 40–45 minutes, or until the edges are set but the center is still a little gooey.

  • Let cool completely before slicing into squares and serving!

Notes

  • Don’t overbake — the gooey center is what makes this cake magical!

  • For extra indulgence, drizzle with melted chocolate or a sprinkle of chopped peanuts before serving.

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature or refrigerate for a firmer texture.
