Ingredients

Serves 6–8

  • 2 cups cooked chicken (shredded or cubed)

  • 1 cup uncooked long-grain rice

  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup

  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup

  • 2 cups chicken broth

  • 1/2 cup milk

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1/2 tsp onion powder

  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

  • 1/2 tsp salt (adjust to taste)

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional, for topping)

  • Fresh parsley (for garnish, optional)


Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine uncooked rice, both soups, chicken broth, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well.

  • Stir in cooked chicken until evenly distributed.

  • Pour mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.

  • Cover tightly with foil and bake for 45 minutes.

  • Remove foil, stir gently, and top with shredded cheddar cheese if using.

  • Bake uncovered for an additional 15–20 minutes, until rice is tender and the top is golden.

  • Let sit 5–10 minutes before serving. Garnish with parsley if desired.

Notes

  • You can substitute cream of mushroom with another can of cream of chicken if preferred.

  • For extra veggies, add frozen peas or broccoli before baking.
