Description

This creamy mushroom and ground beef bake is the ultimate comfort food—rich, cheesy, and packed with savory flavor. Made with hearty beef, tender mushrooms, and a luscious creamy sauce, it’s perfect served over noodles, rice, or low-carb cauliflower rice.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef

  • 8 oz mushrooms, sliced

  • 1 small onion, diced

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup

  • 1/2 cup sour cream

  • 1/2 tsp paprika

  • 1/2 tsp thyme (optional)

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese

 

  • Optional: cooked egg noodles, rice, or cauliflower rice for serving


Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

  • Cook the Beef Mixture:

    • In a large skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.

    • Add diced onion, garlic, and mushrooms. Sauté until tender, about 5–7 minutes.

  • Add Creamy Ingredients:

    • Stir in cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, paprika, thyme (if using), salt, and pepper.

    • Mix until fully combined and heated through.

  • Assemble the Bake:

    • Transfer mixture to a greased 9×9-inch or similar baking dish.

    • Sprinkle shredded cheese evenly over the top.

  • Bake:

    • Bake uncovered for 20–25 minutes, or until bubbly and golden on top.

 

  • Serve:

    • Serve hot over cooked egg noodles, rice, or cauliflower rice.
