Description

This Easy Cherry Cobbler is the ultimate no-fuss dessert! Made with pantry staples and juicy cherries, it bakes into a golden, buttery, and cinnamon-kissed treat that’s perfect with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Ingredients

  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • 2/3 cup granulated sugar

  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • 1 cup milk

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1 can (21 oz) cherry pie filling

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Place the butter in a 9×9-inch baking dish and put it in the oven to melt.

  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.

  • Stir in the milk and vanilla extract until smooth.

  • Carefully remove the dish with melted butter from the oven. Pour the batter over the butter—do not stir.

  • Spoon the cherry pie filling evenly over the batter—again, do not mix.

  • Bake for 40–45 minutes or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the cobbler topping comes out clean.

  • Let cool slightly before serving. Delicious warm with ice cream or whipped cream!

Notes

  • Try using different pie fillings like blueberry, peach, or apple for variation.

  • For a homemade twist, replace canned filling with fresh or frozen fruit tossed with sugar and lemon juice.

  • Make it in a cast iron skillet for rustic vibes and even browning.
