1 cup self-rising flour

1 (1 lb. 5 oz.) can fruit pie filling (cherry, peach, blueberry, etc.)
Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

Place the butter in a 9×13-inch baking dish and let it melt in the oven as it preheats.

In a bowl, whisk together self-rising flour, sugar, and milk until smooth.

Once the butter is melted, remove the pan from the oven and pour the batter mixture evenly over the melted butter—do not stir.

Spoon the canned pie filling over the batter. Again, do not stir.

Return the pan to the oven and bake for 35–40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and bubbly.

Serve warm, optionally with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
