Description

This Garlic Bread Cheesy Sloppy Joe Bake is the ultimate comfort food mashup! Combining savory sloppy joe filling, buttery garlic bread, and melty cheddar cheese, this easy casserole is perfect for busy weeknights, potlucks, or game day feasts.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

  • 1 lb ground beef

  • 1 small onion, chopped

  • 1 bell pepper, chopped

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 1 cup ketchup

  • 1 can (14 oz) refrigerated garlic bread or 1 loaf of frozen garlic bread

  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

  • 1 tsp mustard

  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  • Prepare the Sloppy Joe Filling:

    • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

    • In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.

    • Add chopped onion, bell pepper, and minced garlic. Cook until tender, about 5 minutes.

    • Stir in ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes to blend flavors.

  • Assemble the Bake:

    • Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

    • Arrange the garlic bread inside the dish, cutting pieces to fit as needed.

    • Evenly spread the Sloppy Joe mixture over the garlic bread.

    • Top with shredded cheddar cheese.

  • Bake:

    • Bake in the preheated oven for 20–25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and the garlic bread is golden.

  • Serve:

    • Let the casserole cool for a few minutes.

    • Garnish with fresh parsley if desired, and serve warm.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, use a mix of cheddar and mozzarella cheese.

  • Add a dash of hot sauce to the Sloppy Joe mixture for a spicy kick.

  • Leftovers reheat beautifully in the oven or microwave!
