Ingredients
For the Steak Bites:

1 lb (450 g) sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized pieces

2 tablespoons vegetable oil

4 cloves garlic, minced

3 tablespoons unsalted butter

1 teaspoon dried thyme

1 teaspoon dried rosemary

Salt and pepper, to taste
For the Mash:

2 lbs (900 g) potatoes, peeled and cubed

1/2 cup milk

4 tablespoons unsalted butter

Instructions

Prepare the Mash:

Cook Potatoes: Place cubed potatoes in a pot, cover with cold water, salt lightly, and boil. Simmer until tender, about 15 minutes.

Mash Potatoes: Drain and return to pot. Add milk and butter. Mash until smooth. Season to taste.

Cook the Steak Bites:

Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.

Cook steak bites in batches for 2–3 minutes per side until browned and done to your liking. Remove and set aside.

Make Garlic Butter Sauce:

Reduce skillet heat to medium.

Add garlic and cook 1 minute. Stir in butter, thyme, and rosemary. Cook until fragrant and bubbly.

Combine and Finish:

Return steak to the skillet. Toss to coat in the garlic butter. Heat through for 1 minute.

Season with salt and pepper.

Spoon mashed potatoes onto plates. Top with steak bites and drizzle with garlic butter from the skillet.
