Description

Warm, gooey Brie meets tart cranberry and fragrant garlic herbs in this irresistibly festive appetizer. Stuffed into a crusty sourdough loaf, this pull-apart bread is perfect for holidays, parties, or cozy gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tbsp fresh rosemary, finely chopped

  • 1 tbsp fresh thyme, finely chopped

  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

  • 1/2 cup cranberry sauce (store-bought or homemade)

  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

  • 1 large round sourdough loaf

  • 8 oz Brie cheese, sliced

  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter, melted

Instructions

  • Preheat Oven:

    • Set oven to 350°F (175°C).

  • Prepare the Bread:

    • Using a serrated knife, cut the sourdough loaf in a crosshatch pattern, making sure not to cut all the way through.

  • Mix the Garlic Herb Butter:

    • In a small bowl, combine melted butter, minced garlic, rosemary, thyme, salt, and pepper.

  • Stuff the Loaf:

    • Gently open the bread cuts and stuff slices of Brie and dollops of cranberry sauce evenly throughout.

    • Spoon the garlic herb butter mixture into the cuts.

  • Bake:

    • Wrap the loaf in foil and bake for 15 minutes.

    • Uncover and bake an additional 10 minutes until the cheese is melted and the top is golden.

  • Garnish and Serve:

    • Sprinkle with fresh parsley before serving. Serve warm for the best experience.

Notes

This bread is best served fresh out of the oven. Try adding chopped nuts like walnuts or pecans for added texture and flavor.
