Description

These Homemade Fudgesicles are rich, creamy, and chocolatey—made with simple ingredients like milk, cocoa, and brown sugar for the perfect frozen treat that’s healthier and more delicious than store-bought!

Ingredients

  • 3 cups low-fat or 2% milk

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar

  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch

Instructions

  • Combine dry ingredients: In a medium saucepan (off heat), whisk together brown sugar, cocoa powder, and cornstarch.

  • Add milk: Slowly whisk in ½ cup of milk until smooth and lump-free.

  • Cook the mixture: Turn the heat to medium and gradually whisk in the remaining milk. Cook, stirring constantly, for 7–10 minutes until the mixture thickens like pudding.

  • Cool: Remove from heat and continue stirring for a minute to prevent lumps. Let cool slightly.

  • Fill molds: Pour the mixture into a spouted measuring cup and fill popsicle molds. Insert sticks or lids.

  • Freeze: Freeze for at least 6 hours or overnight until solid.

  • Unmold: Run warm water over the base of the molds for 10–20 seconds to release fudgesicles easily.

Notes

  • For a creamier texture, use whole milk or add ¼ cup heavy cream.

  • Add a pinch of salt or splash of vanilla extract for flavor depth.

  • Can be stored in the freezer for up to 2 weeks.
