Description

Cool down with this refreshing homemade peach ice cream made with fresh peaches, creamy dairy, and a touch of vanilla. Perfect for summer, this no-fuss ice cream delivers rich flavor and silky smooth texture with every scoop!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups heavy cream

  • 1 cup whole milk

  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 2 cups fresh peaches, peeled and chopped (or use frozen if out of season)

  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice (optional, to enhance peach flavor)

Instructions

  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, whole milk, sugar, and vanilla extract until the sugar is fully dissolved.

  • In a blender or food processor, puree the peaches (reserving a few chunks for texture if desired). Stir in the lemon juice.

  • Combine the peach puree with the cream mixture and stir well.

  • Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, or until fully cold.

  • Pour the mixture into your ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions (usually 20–25 minutes).

  • Once churned, transfer the ice cream to an airtight container and freeze for at least 4 hours or until firm.

  • Scoop and enjoy your homemade peach ice cream!

Notes

  • If peaches are overly juicy, strain slightly before pureeing to avoid an icy texture.

  • Add a splash of bourbon for a Southern twist!

  • For chunkier texture, fold in small peach chunks after churning.
