Ingredients

For the Blondies:

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

  • 1 cup light brown sugar, packed

  • 1 large egg

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

  • 1/2 cup Nutella (plus more for swirling)


Instructions

  1. Prepare the Batter:
    Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
    In a large mixing bowl, whisk together melted butter and brown sugar until smooth.
    Add the egg and vanilla extract and mix until fully incorporated.
    Stir in flour and salt until just combined—avoid overmixing.

  2. Add the Nutella:
    Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the surface.
    Drop spoonfuls of Nutella over the top and swirl gently with a knife to create a marbled effect.

  3. Bake the Blondies:
    Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until edges are golden and a toothpick inserted comes out with moist crumbs.
    Cool completely in the pan before slicing.

  4. Serve:
    Cut into 9 large or 16 smaller squares. Enjoy with milk or coffee!

Notes

For an extra Nutella kick, warm some and drizzle over the top before serving.

These blondies keep well for 3–4 days in an airtight container at room temperature.
