These pork chops with a crunchy honey garlic sauce are tender, juicy, and smothered in a sticky, savory-sweet glaze with crispy caramelized bits. A quick and flavorful weeknight dinner that pairs perfectly with rice, veggies, or potatoes.
Ingredients
Serves 4
For the pork chops:
-
4 boneless pork chops (about 1 inch thick)
-
1/2 cup honey
-
1/4 cup soy sauce
-
3 cloves garlic, minced
-
2 tablespoons olive oil
Optional garnish:
-
Chopped parsley or green onions
-
Crushed red pepper flakes for a spicy kick
Instructions
-
Prep the pork chops: Pat pork chops dry with paper towels and season lightly with salt and pepper.
-
Sear the pork chops: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the pork chops for 3–4 minutes on each side until golden and nearly cooked through. Remove and set aside.
-
Make the honey garlic sauce: In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium. Add garlic and sauté briefly until fragrant. Stir in honey and soy sauce. Simmer for 2–3 minutes until it begins to thicken.
-
Combine and glaze: Return pork chops to the skillet. Spoon sauce over them, letting it bubble and coat the chops for 2–3 more minutes until fully cooked and glazed.
-
Serve: Garnish with chopped herbs or chili flakes if desired. Serve hot with your favorite sides
Notes
-
Adjust the sauce sweetness by reducing or increasing the honey.
-
For extra texture, finish the pork chops under the broiler for 1–2 minutes to caramelize the glaze.
-
Pairs well with steamed rice, mashed potatoes, or stir-fried vegetables.
