This Savory Cabbage Beef Bake is a hearty and comforting casserole combining ground beef, shredded cabbage, diced tomatoes, and rice. Perfect for family dinners, this easy-to-make dish brings together wholesome ingredients for a satisfying meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef

  • 1 small onion, chopped

  • 1 small cabbage, shredded

  • 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes

  • 1 cup cooked rice

  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)


Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

  • In a large skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef and chopped onion until beef is browned and onion is translucent. Drain excess fat.

  • Add shredded cabbage to the skillet and cook until slightly softened, about 5 minutes.

  • Stir in diced tomatoes (with their juice), cooked rice, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well to combine.

  • Transfer the mixture to a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.

  • If using, sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top.

  • Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 10-15 minutes, until cheese is melted and bubbly.

  • Let stand for 5 minutes before serving.
