Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
-
2 tablespoons olive oil
-
1/2 cup honey
-
1/4 cup soy sauce
-
2 cloves garlic, minced
-
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar (or rice vinegar)
-
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
-
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger (optional)
-
Fresh parsley or green onions, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
-
Season Pork Chops:
Season both sides of the pork chops with salt and pepper. -
Sear the Chops:
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Sear the pork chops for 3–4 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove and set aside. -
Make the Sauce:
In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add honey, soy sauce, garlic, vinegar, Dijon mustard, and ginger (if using).
Stir and bring to a simmer. -
Return Chops to Pan:
Add pork chops back to the skillet, coating them with the sauce.
Simmer for 5–7 minutes, turning occasionally, until the chops are cooked through (internal temp 145°F) and sauce thickens. -
Serve:
Spoon extra sauce over the pork chops and garnish with chopped parsley or green onions if desired.
Notes
-
You can use boneless pork chops, but adjust cooking time accordingly.
-
For a spicy kick, add a dash of chili flakes or sriracha to the sauce.
-
